Doing What You Don't Like

On paper it looks like to a lot of people a pretty lame workout, 100 burpees for time.  I was one of those people for a long time.  After seeing how great The Open workouts have gone the past few years, with 7 minutes of burpees in 2012 and the burpee/snatch combo last year, we figured we do what we have never wanted to, and program 100 burpees for time.
It was really interesting to see the responses of people.  Who knew so much could go into such a simple and seemingly mundane workout.  We heard talks about rep schemes, pacing, rhythm, technique, breathing, thresholds, cadence and more.  A few people even mentioned they wanted to re-test it soon!
For us putting this workout out was going against our traditional programming style, but sometimes doing what you don't like can lead to an unexpected good, positive and beneficial place.  Shall we do it again sometime??
