Got Elbows?

Where your elbows go in the push press and jerk doesn't necessarily matter.  The position of your elbows is a byproduct of your shelf and grip.  As long as you are gripping the bar with all of your fingers and you provide a nice shelf for the bar to rest, feel free to put your elbows where they want to go.  You do see for most people the elbows pretty high.  This is to make sure the shelf is there for the bar to sit.  Helene shows us here a more elbows down rack position.  This technique is fine as long as the bar does not drift on her in the dip and drive.  Where are your elbows in the push press or jerk?  Do you have a shelf for the bar to lie?
