Deadlift Day

Today was a deadlift day for everyone, including the FitEx class.
Deadlifting is one of the most functional movements we do in Crossfit— and although it is rare that we will pick something up outside of the gym that is a long, straight, steel object like a barbell, we can apply “how” we deadlift in the gym to picking up many other objects outside of the gym; keeping our spine neutral and mid section tight, using our legs versus our backs or arms to lift the object and keeping the object close to us.
Seems like maybe it should be called the Lifelift instead of the Deadlift!

Workout:

Work up to a heavy set of 5 or 5RM Deadlift

3 Minute AMRAP:
15 Burpees + 30 Air Squat Buy In
Double Unders
Rest 1 Minute
3 Minute AMRAP:
30 Air Squat + 60 Double Under Buy In
Burpees
Rest 1 Minute:
60 Double Under + 15 Burpee Buy In
Air Squats
