Footwork

There is an endless amount of nuances and variables within a lift that make a lifter unique.  One simple thing to watch for is footwork.  Is the footwork consistent?  How fast do they move?  Are the feet in what looks like the right position for the lifter?  The best lifters in the world have incredible footwork.  Our feet are the last connection to the ground where we get our force from.  So much can be gained from footwork.
Kim here has tremendous footwork in the jerk.  Not only does she have great speed, but she also moves through her split jerk with competence and lands with confidence.
