We started off today with the always fun and enjoyable stick game. The stick game or any other lively game is a great way to start a class. It gets you in a fun joyful mode, which you can carry through your warm up, into your workout, and potentially across your day. The hidden genius behind this is that we perform, as the literature shows, much better when we are in a state of enjoyment.
Think about when you were a child at recess, and how magical and joyful those times were. You weren't thinking, everything was just flowing effortlessly. We may not be able to reach the purity of those childhood states, but having some awareness to approach CrossFit, and really any other task in life, with enjoyment will benefit and reward you greatly.
