Hike It!

When I taught the 6am the double DB Snatch this morning I described it like a KB swing (in that you need to use your hip to get momentum on the DB’s) but also needed to keep the DB’s closer in to the body (similar to a snatch). Angelo figured out on his own that if he “hiked” the DB’s off the ground (similar to a KB swing) he got a better hip pop. Brilliant!

12-15 Minutes to build to a heavy double Hang Power Snatch

3 Sets:
5 SA KB Cossack Squats/Side
10 SA KB Bent Over Row/Side

15 Minute AMRAP:
5 Double DB Snatch (50/35#)
10 Cal Ski OR 10/8 Cal AB OR 12/10 Cal Row
50 Double Unders
