What's The Feel Of It?

Todays lifts were prescribed to go off “feel” - 70% feel to be exact. But what does that mean? How can someone say for sure what 70% is?

The challenge and utility of determining what 70% is for you, is largely the point. In order to learn a lift for example, we must be able to determine how it "feels.”

Nathan demonstrated this point beautifully this morning. I cued him on a technique, and he was able in the next lift to perform that cue. How was he able to do that? Because he has an advanced sense of what the lift feels like. Can you guess what Nathan was cued to change? Do you notice a difference in the two sets (videos below)?

When you lift, are you thinking about the lift, or are you '“feeling” the lift? If you find yourself in your head while your lifting, or doing anything really, see what it feels like to instead let the mind rest (to the best of your ability) and experience the feel of it.

This Saturday the last Open workout will coincide with a fundraiser for Team CRSC.
Come show support for Connor, Kelly, Natalie, and Wes on their journey to the Brazil CrossFit Championship in May! They will be selling Team CRSC T-shirts for the gents, tanks for the ladies, raffle tickets for some awesome prizes, and some post-19.5 BBQ! (BYOB!)
