Approach

PhotobucketHow can you not love the guy. In pretty much any Crossfit workout there are two general approaches. Do I go out fast and try and hold on, or do I pace it from the start? Which one is going to lend itself optimally for the fastest time?  The answer is it depends, mostly on the individual and type of workout. Workout 12.3 in particular seems like a no brainer, gotta pace it. But again it depends on the individual. Emily Bridges posted a score of 534 reps. This comes out to an average of about 1 minute and 12 seconds per round for 18 minutes. It's hard to imagine she "paced" the workout from the start. How did you (or would you) approach this workout? Slow and steady? Blaze out the gates and hold on? A mix of the two?
